Abby Callor isn't just HeartLight's Managing Funeral Director — she's known throughout the community as "The Sweet Funeral Director."

Each week, Abby bakes homemade cookies for assisted living residents, hosts decorating events with her special "Heavenly Frosting," and even leads chair aerobics classes. For her, serving families doesn't begin at the time of death — it begins long before.

A Southern Utah native raised in the Hurricane Valley, Abby graduated early from Hurricane High School and later earned her Mortuary Science degree from Des Moines Area Community College after completing her associate degree at Brigham Young University–Idaho.

Her calling to funeral service began at fifteen after losing both her father and stepfather. Being included in the arrangements during that time shaped her belief that funeral service should feel personal, healing, and deeply respectful.

As Managing Funeral Director, Abby leads with calm confidence and compassion. Married to her husband Derek and mother to three daughters, she understands the sacred responsibility of caring for someone's loved one.
