On the morning of October 24th, 2026, Tamar Abigail Sisler passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Ecuador on August 2nd, 1965 to Graciela Cisneros. She attended both seamstress school and night school, working hard to graduate near the top of her class.
Having been converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at a young age, she was a very faithful member, serving a full time mission starting in Ecuador before being transferred to Colombia. After her mission, she moved to the United States of America, got married in the Atlanta, Georgia temple, and had three beautiful children.
She was very passionate about childcare. Having moved around a lot, she took it upon herself to run homeschool programs with her children and others in various neighborhoods. Near the end of her life, she settled in Utah and worked at Snowy Owl School House teaching kindergarten. She would oftentimes be found at thrift stores and libraries, acquiring books and toys for her students, whom she lovingly called her kiddos. She loved her students dearly, and they loved her.
Tamar is survived by her children Estela Sisler and Ashley Wilson, her mother Graciela Cisneros, her sisters Jessica Midgley and Judith Pazmiño, and her brothers Oscar and Carlos Pazmiño. She is preceded in death by her son Michael.
