Debbie Kay Austin
September 16, 1959–October 14, 2026
Debraha “Debbie” Kay Austin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on October 14, 2026 at age 67.
Debbie was born on September 16, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Faye Cloward and Walter Junior Johnson, who helped shape the compassionate, resilient, and devoted woman she became.
Debbie's greatest joy in life was her family. During her marriage to Christopher Glenn Murphy, she was blessed with five children: Aubri, Brianne, Stacie, Kristin, and Jonathan. Later, she married Robert Wayne Austin and lovingly welcomed his four sons, Zachary, Timothy, Christopher, and Matthew, into her heart and family. Debbie and Rob shared 23 wonderful years together, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.
Later in life, Debbie experienced the blessing of reconnecting with her biological family through DNA ancestry. She cherished the opportunity to build relationships with her siblings and deepen her understanding of her family's story.
Debbie showed her love through caring for others. She loved cooking and baking for family gatherings and special occasions, and few things made her happier than sharing a meal with the people she loved. She was also an enthusiastic Vegas Golden Knights fan and could often be found cheering them on with excitement and loyalty.
Those who knew Debbie will remember her loving heart, her quick wit, her strength through life's challenges, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her greatest legacy is the love and laughter she shared with those around her.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and biological parents. She is survived by her eternal companion and beloved husband, Rob; her children Aubri, Brianne (Wes), Stacie, Kristin (Brian), Zachary (Jessica), Timothy (Trinity), Jonathan, Christopher (Kaylie), and Matthew (Allyson); her siblings Julie, Melodee, Tina, and Kim; her grandchildren Desmond, Cassidy, Owen, Kale, Aaron, Parker, Abi, Evan, Kya, Abigail, Lily, and Noah; and many other family members and dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
While her family deeply mourns her passing, they find comfort in the knowledge that families are forever and that Debbie's love, faith, and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
